Science boost from Mün and Minmus

My career game slowly proceeds, and the first two big challenges, Mün and Minmus are completed.

My Science spacecraft arrives in Mün orbit. I then launch the Lander, which had too little deltaV for a return trip, and dock. Science gets not transferred but the mobile lab gets loaded to the brim with its data. A little refuel, and the lander is ready to move back to Kerbin orbit.

My automated rescue ship ("To The Rescue") finally arrives back from outer Kerbin orbit. Since in the meanwhile, another rescue contract has popped up, the small automated vessel catches that one, too.

The Orbiter launches for a transfer from the "To The Rescue", and finances its launch by taking two tourists along.

In the meanwhile, the Spacefish gets a rare and good direct transfer window from the outer Minmus to the inner Mün; it has four tourists on board who opted for a flyby at both celestial bodies.

The lander craft arrives at Minmus and shortly after also the science vessel.

Touchdown Minmus. A pity I had no "plant a flag" mission. During descend, I noted a rapid change of biomes. This enabled me to collect science data from alltogether four biomes in one go (Lesser Flats, Slopes, Lowland, Midland, Highland). The deltaV budged was scare, though, so I saved some by simply making the vessel roll down the slope on to the next biome just by virtue of electricity and torque from the reaction wheels.

Obligatory docking in Minmus orbit, so that the science points from the experiments on board of the lander can be transferred into the science ship´s mobile laboratory. Together with the other science vessel around Mün I get now a good, slow but steady automatic income science points.

In the meanwhile, the Mün lander arrives back in Kerbin orbit and transfers science and its pilot to the still waiting orbiter. The science is worth a whopping 1400 points, from one biome from Mün plus the data from around high and low Mün orbit, plus what I could send per antenna without loss from the Minmus Lander.

Six passengers and 1400 science points make me do a very, very cautios re-entry for the Orbiter...

... which works perfect. It is just difficult to maneuver through clouds (modded in), but a cool experience nevertheless.

What can I say? Perfect navigation, just by a proper de-orbit burn and some final gliding!

Touchdown! Unharmed! And a perfect conclusion for altogether three very engaging game sessions!
